This course provides students with a complete and balanced introduction to the theory, driving policy issues, and latest research on the Economics of Development. A policy-oriented approach is taken, presenting theories on Economic Development in the context of contemporary international debates. During the course, case studies on selected topics will be presented and discussed with the goal of encouraging continue and active participation of all the students. |

2nd module: Economics and business of emerging markets (3 ECTS) |
This course offers an overview on growth and development in the so-called Emerging Countries. The development strategies, the industrialization processes and the catching-up efforts are analyzed. Moreover, in a doing-business perspective, the present and the future of the economic relationships between some selected Emerging Countries and Italy will be discussed. Case studies will be presented to encourage continue and active participation of all the students. |

Eco-Innovations and economic performances (1st module - 3 ECTS) and Environmental regulations and Eco-Innovations (2nd module - 4 ECTS) |
This course disentangles the complex linkages and relationships between innovation dynamics, market structure and the environment. The first module of the course studies how different types of market structure obstacle or favour innovation adoption, with a special focus on eco-innovation. The second module of the course will be more related to the economic effect of eco-innovation in terms of firm’s performances and employment dynamics. Finally, the effect of Eco-Innovation on the environment will be shortly revised in the final module of the course. Several seminar lectures will provide real world applications taken from the energy sector and from recent innovation studies. |

Innovation and invention: barriers and drivers (1st module - 3 ECTS) and Innovation, diffusion, business, models and tecnology trasfer (2nd module - 4 ECTS) |
The objective of the course is twofold: 1) providing the students of a sound conceptual background on the main topics of the Economics of Innovation (e.g. systems of innovation, innovation policy evaluation, innovation and diffusion, measuring innovation); 2) illustrating the most recent advances in econometrics related to innovation topics. |

The course is an introduction to economics and policy perspective on environmental problems. How environmental policy should be efficiently designed is a main theme. Case studies and empirical evidence will cover climate change and waste, with a focus on eco innovation developed by firms and economic sectors.

The main goal of this course is to develop a foundation of financial management concepts. The course assists students to develop a systematic understanding of issues related to how SMEs make important investment and financing decisions, and how they establish working capital policies
Financial Public Economics - 7 ECTS - 2nd semester - 2st year of Master Degree
The course will provide theoretical and empirical tools, needed to address and search for adequate solutions to some relevant and current issues of public economics.
Governance and accounting in SMEs - 9 ECTS - 1st semester - 1st year of Master Degree
The course deals with the concept of corporate governance and in particular the way owners and managers can develop a consistent relationship in SMEs. A specific focus is devoted to the context of family firms. The second part of the course is devoted to the analysis of the accounting tools and methodology in order to support decision making, external reporting (Financial and non-financial) and control.
Industrial policy and sustainability - 9 ECTS - 2nd Semester - 1st year of Master degree

Industrial economics and policy (1st module - 7 ECTS) and Economics of small and medium enterprises (2nd module - 2 ECTS) |
This is an advance course of industrial economics and policy comprising issues of strategies and competition, industry dynamics, competition policy, innovation policy and green industrial policy. Theoretical and empirical evidence will be discussed using real world cases of industries and firms. A specific module will be dedicated to SMEs, focusing particularly on issues related to clustering, firm creation and growth, and SME policy. |
Industrial Organization and Industrial Policy - 8 ECTS 2nd Semester - 3rd year of Bachelor degree
The course aims at studying and discussing the main issues related to the debate of Industrial Organization, Industrial Economics and Industrial Policy. The most diffused economic theories will be presented, in integration with the more recent developments. In particular, the course will deepen the knowledge on topics such as the theory of the firm, market structures and market concentration, barriers to entry, price strategies, product differentiation, M&A, vertical integration, innovation, market failures and industrial policy interventions, antitrust and competition policies, innovation policy.
International marketing - (7 ECTS) - 2nd semester - 2nd year of Master Degree

The course targets at giving students a deep insight of a vast number of relevant market and marketing trends. It will not take into consideration just the traditional international marketing matters (e.g. how to select an international market), but aims at drawing a “bigger picture”.
International trade and competitiveness (7 ECTS) - 2nd semester - 2nd year of Master Degree

The subject deals with principles and tools for production, supply-chain and logistics processes. Tools and principles linked to Lean Manufacturing and other management systems such as Six Sigma and TQM will be discussed in order to understand how to create a one-piece-flow reducing production costs. Logistics, Supply-Chain Management and Agile Systems represent fundamental parts of the programme.
Organizational behavior and human resource management - 8 ECTS - 2nd Semester - 1st year of Master degree
The goal of the course is to provide the main conceptual tools that are necessary for the analysis of human resource management and organizational behavior in enterprises. The main topics are: motivation and decision making; leadership; group dynamics; human resource management policies.

The course analyses public policies aimed at achieving territorial and urban development, with particular reference to the following issues: integrated policies, environmental policies and sustainability, policies for local development, competitiveness policies (for eg., smart cities, creative cities, sustainable urban planning, etc.), policies for the protection and enhancement of historic and artistic assets.

The course aims to provide a wide overview of the fiscal tools that are necessary to ensure the stability of public finance. A specific focus will be put on the necessity of a careful coordination of the accounting rules between the European stability and growth pact and the Italian domestic stability pact in order to have a clear definition of the contribution of each Italian sub-national government to aggregate deficit.
Strategic control and performance management - 9 ECTS - 1st semester - 1st year of Master Degree
The subject provides students with an understanding of strategic management, and enabling them to apply tools to help an organization define its sustained competitive advantage. The linkage between organizational strategies and performance measurement tools is shown, too. A wide range of performance dimensions is considered such as the economic, individual, environmental, societal ones.
Theory of the firm and of the markets - 9 ECTS - 2nd semester - 1st year of Master Degree
Firms are an important component of most economic systems and a better understanding of their operation and of the reasons for their existence is necessary to better understand the economic activity. This should give the students an useful economic background for their working careers.

Coloro che non sostengono l’esame entro la sessione straordinaria nell’anno accademico in cui è previsto l’insegnamento per la propria coorte (anno di immatricolazione) sono in debito d’esame e possono sostenere l'esame in qualunque altra sessione utile.
Se l’insegnamento è stato DISATTIVATO, è necessario consultare le seguenti tabelle di EQUIPOLLENZA, deliberate dal Consiglio della struttura didattica.
Le equipollenze valgono ai limitati fini del sostenimento degli esami di profitto e servono per individuare un docente di un corso affine che permetta agli studenti di sostenere l’esame (non consiste in un'equivalenza fra programmi d'esame, ma fra commissioni esaminatrici. Servono quindi per individuare una commissione d'esame competente a far sostenere la prova allo studente).
E’ buona prassi contattare PREVENTIVAMENTE il docente col quale sostenere la prova per verificare le modalità di verifica e concordare eventualmente aggiornamenti del proprio programma originario (es. testi più recenti, nuove dispense per approfondimenti...).

Alcuni esempi e chiarimenti
Per gli esami del I semestre ci sono tre sessioni utili per sostenere la prova: gennaio-febbraio, giugno-luglio e settembre. Chi non riesce a dare l'esame entro queste sessione ed è "in debito d'esame". Dalla sessione di gennaio dell'anno successivo alla frequenza può quindi cambiare la commissione esaminatrice: verificare le nuove tabelle di equipollenza;
Esempio: nell'a.a. 2011/2012 avete frequentato il corso di Metodi matematici per l'economia (I semestre) con il prof. Segala. Il professore garantisce tre sessioni d'esame, quelle che seguono il corso che ha tenuto. A partire da quella di gennaio 2017 dovrete sostenere l'esame con il nuovo titolare del corso e presidente della nuova commissione d'esame.
Stesso criterio si applica agli esami del secondo semestre, con una sessione di differenza. Per gli esami del II semestre ci sono tre sessioni utili per sostenere la prova: giugno-luglio, settembre e sessione straordinaria di gennaio. Chi non riesce a dare l'esame entro queste sessioni ed è "in debito d'esame". A partire da giugno-luglio dell'anno successivo alla frequenza può cambiare la commissione esaminatrice: verificare le nuove tabelle di equipollenza.

possono presentare* alla Segreteria Studentesse e Studenti - Ufficio Carriera EGUS - domanda di riconoscimento con le caratteristiche sotto riportate:
· denominazione dell’attività riconosciuta: Informatica;
· peso: 4 cfu;
· tipologia di attività: F;
· voto: 27/30 per ECDL Full Standard; EIPASS (Basic o 7 moduli User) e PEKIT (Advanced) e voto: 25/30 per ECDL Base.
Qualora lo studente dovesse presentare, al suddetto ufficio, adeguata, ulteriore certificazione attestante il conseguimento del massimo dei voti in ciascuno dei 7 moduli di cui si compone il certificato ECDL Full Standard, allo studente potrà essere assegnato voto 30/30.
TERMINE DI VALIDITA': non si pone una scadenza temporale alla validità delle certificazioni presentate dagli studenti (delibera Consiglio di Corso di Studio del 02/04/19).
